Foundations for Landscape: September 7 – 9, 2012
This class is to prepare the student to work and make decisions on location. Prior planning in the studio can ground students before they attempt to take on plein-air work. Using a painted monochromatic sketch, or under-painting, learn how to build a foundation in the field. Contact me for materials list and to enroll. Friday – Sunday, 9am – 4pm.

Weekend Workshop: September 21-23, 2012 We will start in the studio and take an excursion to paint Cold Mountain on location. Pack your gear, bring your lunch and a thermos. Workshop: Color and Atmosphere – Phenomenal Painting

Weekend Workshop August 24 -26, 2012 9am – 4pm
Learn to add atmosphere to your oil paintings and capture phenomena like fog, mist, reflections, rain, shadows and snow using a tonal layers. Using layering and veils of paint, we will work in the open air. Bring sunscreen, folding chair and portable easel. Check in for materials list.
Bring lunch and a beverage. 9am – 4pm Fee: $175.
